Chestnut Mountain Resort

This full-service resort is located on a wooded palisade overlooking the Majestic Mississippi River. Amenities include an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, and on-site restaurant & lounge. The resort features an array of year-round outdoor activities such as segway tours, Farside Bike Park, river cruises, zipline, and an alpine slide. In the winter, the resort becomes a Ski and Snowboard playground for sports enthusiasts, amateurs, and professionals. The 475-foot vertical drop meanders 3,500 feet through 19 runs, ranging from novice to black diamond. Two quad chairs, four triple chairs, two conveyor lifts, and one surface is available to get you back up to the top.

Their 20,000-square-foot ski center is home to Mountainside Outfitters – featuring brand-name ski and snowboard clothing, goggles, hats, and souvenirs. Inside the ski center, you’ll also find an equipment rental area featuring Elan Discovery Ski Rental and Burton Learn to Ride snowboard rentals, a ticketing outlet, and a winter sports school. Full ski and snowboard repair and tuning services are available as well.
