This is the oldest continuing operating Episcopal church in Northern Illinois, holding its first service in 1826, the same year Galena was incorporated. The cornerstone for the current stone church located at the corner of Hill and Prospect Streets was set in 1848.
There is a meditation garden next to the church open to the public at all times. The chapel, with an altar for healing prayer, is open during daylight hours. The Parish House Gallery holds art exhibits during the year. Other church activities include workshops, retreats and bible study groups.
-10:30 a.m.: Regular Eucharist services followed by coffee hour fellowship in the parish house.
-7:30 a.m.: Regular Eucharist services followed by a fellowship breakfast.
